The good
When I think of classic summery/tropical flavors, things like mango, coconut, and pineapple immediately come to mind. This new Tropical Rich and Coconut Gelato from Haagen-Dazs basically goes all in on those kinds of vibes, with an ingredient lineup that includes the likes of pineapple concentrate, mango puree, passionfruit juice, and coconut syrup. The consistency of the product is really nice, too. It has a light, whipped feel to it, so if you want a cooling dessert that isn't going to leave you feeling heavy in the heat of summer, then this is a great option to consider.
The not so good
One critique that I find I always have about Haagen-Dazs products is the price. This is pushing 400 yen for a relatively small cup of gelato, so in terms of value for money I wouldn't say this is the best. Even though I loved the combination of flavors with this, I wouldn't be purchasing it again and that's solely a reflection of the price. In saying that, I would say it's still worth trying at least once if you're a fan of those delicious tropical flavors. Keep an eye out for it at a convenience store or supermarket chain near you, and I hope you enjoy it if you end up giving it a go!
