The good
First things first, the price of this is hard to beat at only 140 yen including tax. It's cheaper than a lot of convenience store offerings, too, so I was thoroughly impressed with the wallet-friendly nature of it. It's just a delicious product, too. The fluffy sponge cake outer is filled with a layer of raw chocolate and a chocolate custard cream, so it's absolute bliss for chocolate lovers. Everything works well together for a super tasty dessert, and the whole thing is only 206 calories -- it feels much, much more indulgent than that, though! Definitely worth trying!
The not so good
Honestly, it's a struggle for me to think of any negative commentary for this product, because it's got so many good things going for it. It's super reasonably priced, the packaging is cute, it's delicious -- really, the trifecta of good things you'd want in a product. I guess the downside is that Chateraise stores aren't everywhere, so it's not as easy as enjoying something from a convenience store that you can access just about anywhere in Japan. If you do have a Chateraise store near you (or you're just passing by one!), definitely keep an eye out for this product!
