The description

This product is the new Kinoko no Yama and Takenoko no Sato McFlurry which is available from McDonalds stores for a limited time. It was priced at 370 yen.

The good

I've been a fan of Kinoko no Yama and Takenoko no Sato for as long as I can remember, and I honestly don't know which one I prefer more. My kids and my husband are also fans of them, and I think they're just one of those iconic sweets here that you can find just about everywhere. If you're also a fan, McDonalds have released a McFlurry containing both Kinoko no Yama and Takenoko no Sato so you don't have to pick between the two! Along with whole pieces of Kinoko no Yama and Takenoko no Sato, the McFlurry contains two different chocolate sauces, and everything pairs really well with the vanilla ice cream. Definitely a fun release from McDonalds, and I'd love to see them doing this with other iconic Japanese sweets.

The not so good

I do think that some people might find the whole Kinoko no Yama and Takenoko no Sato within the ice cream to be a bit too chunky. I don't think it would have had the same aesthetic appeal if they'd crushed them up, though, so I think it's better this way. It is also a bit more expensive than standard McFlurries, but I don't think it's a bad deal given that it has two types of chocolates and also two types of chocolate sauce in this. If you're a fan at all of Kinoko no Yama and Takenoko no Sato, I recommend giving this a try at least once. Happy eating, and enjoy! :)
