Where in Japan I'd rather live (choice #2)

I just blogged about where in Japan I'd rather live (choice #1) which was Shimane. It's probably an unusual choice for some, but I just loved it there so much when I visited. Another place that I'd love to live is Saga Prefecture, specifically the Arita area.

Why Arita? I fell in love with the ceramics culture that just exudes from this part of the country. There are so many incredible little artisan shops, and even a shrine with blue and white porcelain accents!

I also like that nearby you've also got Takeo (known for its hot springs) and Ureshino for tea lovers. There are so many elements I love about Japan in this area, and I feel like it's a dream spot for me.

Like I said in my blog about Shimane, I've only taken a trip to Arita, so I really can't say how that would compare to actually living there. I'm not naive enough to assume that everyday life would be just like a vacation. I do think though that living somewhere that has the countryside feel but still comes packed with culture would feel like a nice fit.
