Shopping isn't so fun at this time of year!

Typically, the AEON Mall nearest to our house is a convenient place to shop, because they have a supermarket, various other retail stores, and chains like KFC, Baskin Robbins, and Hard Off at the same complex. However, at this time of the year that goes out the window a bit, with the extreme amounts of snow we have been getting.

This winter has been particularly crazy so far, as you can see in the picture below. The walkway beside those massive snow drifts (in front of the Baskin Robbins and other stores) can still be transited through, but it's more of a tunnel right now than a true walkway.

I do find myself chuckling a bit any time my friends who are Tokyo-based say that they've had "a lot" of snow. It's nothing compared to what it's like out here, but I do think that we're used to it in these parts!
