The description

This product is a container of sakura croissant rusks from the Kaldi Coffee Farm brand. They're a limited time only offering, and were priced at 518 yen.

The good

These "rusks" are quite unique in that they're shaped like mini croissants, but they have the trademark crispy texture of rusks -- so it's a fun little mind trick! The rusks come topped with a pink sakura topping and some colored sugar which adds a bit of additional crunch, and I think from a visual perspective they are very appealing. You get six pieces in each container, so each one is about 86 yen each -- I felt that was not too bad, overall. These are fun to consume yourself, or would be nice as a relatively inexpensive treat for someone in your life here who loves all things sakura flavored.

The not so good

As I mentioned above, these are croissant shaped but rusk textured. On first glances it would be easy to assume they were actual mini croissants if you weren't reading the text on the container. I can only imagine it'd be pretty disappointing to be expecting flaky, buttery croissants and getting crispy rusks instead! Overall though, if you go into it expecting rusk textures these are a tasty and unique sakura treat to enjoy during the spring season. Not sure how long they'll be on shelves for (probably just through late March/early April, I'd assume), so if they sound good to you be sure to check at your local Kaldi while you can!
