If you're a fan of the classic Black Thunder product, this new "Black Thunder Excellent" is basically a fancier, more upmarket version of the original. The quality of the chocolate outer coating is said to use higher quality cocoa beans, and I do think it's a noticeable difference in borh taste and smoothness. The price is still super reasonable at only 95 yen including tax, so it's a budget-friendly way to get your chocolate fix. It's available from 7-11 stores across the country, so hopefully you don't have to look too far to find one of their stores!

I believe this is a limited-time only thing, so if it's something you really want to get your hands on, there's likely to only be a short window to do so. Also, it's only available from 7-11 stores. For most people that's probably not an issue, since 7-11s are so prolific across the country -- but it would have been nice to see them released at other convenience store chains like Family Mart and Lawson, too. Overall though, well worth the purchase for Black Thunder fans, and the price is hard to beat!
