The description

This product is the newly-released mango Black Thunder, and it's a limited-time offering of the ever-popular sweet. I found it at 7-11 and it was priced at 54 yen.

The good

The classic Black Thunder is a go-to treat for me fairly regularly because it's so cost effective, and I love that the brand often releases some seasonal variations of the product so you never get bored! This mango flavored option was released this month, and I think it fits well with the warmer weather rolling in! There are several key components to the product -- mango flavored chips, biscuit pieces, butter cookie pieces, and the layer of chocolate at the bottom. If you like fruity-chocolatey combination sweets, then I think this is a good option to try! I like the crunchy texture and feel that's part of what makes these bars so satisfying.

The not so good

I know that not everyone is a fan of the fruit and chocolate flavor combination, but if that's the case for you I'm fairly sure you wouldn't be purchasing this one! Overall, though, I think this is a really fun release for the pre-summer timeframe. It's fruity and light feeling while still kicking a craving for chocolate, and the price is fantastic at only 54 yen including tax -- it's definitely one of the more budget-friendly options for a sweet treat at convenience stores right now. Give it a try if you like the chocolate/fruity combination -- happy eating, and enjoy! :)
