The description
This product is a white peach and earl grey cake, and it's a limited-time/seasonal offering available from Starbucks stores. It was priced at 540 yen including tax.
The good
If you're headed into Starbucks to try one of their new seasonal peach fraps and you're looking to up the ante with a dessert, I highly recommend going for the white peach and earl grey cake. From first glance you already see the large chunks of white peach adorning the top of the product, and the cake portion actually consists of three key components: there's an earl grey mousse, earl grey cake, and a crunchy base which is similar in style to a cheesecake crust. Because the mousse part dominates, it ends up being quite a light-feeling dessert rather than a heavy one, so it feels like a good choice for summer days.
The not so good
As I mentioned above, the key component of the cakey base for this product is mousse, which is great for a lighter dessert, but not so great if you're looking for a product that keeps you satiated for a while. Also, I would say it's fairly pricey for a slice of cake at 540 yen. Most independent bakeries in my local area offer single slices for cheaper than that, and I feel better supporting them than a large global conglomerate...so this one, while tasty, is a one and done for me. I'd say it's still fun to try if you like the flavors of peach and earl grey, though!
