If there's one drink that to me just feels like summer in Japan, it's probably ramune. I'm guessing McDonalds here felt the same way, since they've released this new Morinaga Ramune McShake which is available for a limited time only. I think if you like ramune flavored things then this is a tasty and refreshing-feeling shake option, so it seems perfect in terms of its seasonality. I also really liked that it was available in multiple sizes (small and medium). I got the medium, but the small is only 190 yen if you want to give that a go and not commit to a bigger version.

Obviously, one key downside to this is that it's a limited time only product. If you find yourself really enjoying it, the window to get your hands on it is pretty slim. Apparently this has been released before, but it was 6 years ago(!!) so it's hard to say if (or when) it will make a return again after this summer season. Overall, I would say if you're a fan of anything ramune flavored then this is a really fun item to try. Head in to your nearest McDonalds store sooner rather than later if you want to give it a go.
