Maiko Ski Resort opens tomorrow!

If you're looking for a ski resort that is more geared towards beginners/newbies to the slopes, I highly recommend Maiko Ski Resort here in Minamiuonuma. It officially opens for the season tomorrow, which is a little later than usual since we didn't have a ton of snow for the year until today!

It's still a resort that is reasonably well known, but certainly not to the levels of some places in Nagano and Hokkaido, for instance. I think while it can get crowded at times, you'll have a much more pleasant experience here. Keep it in mind if you're planning any kind of snow trip this winter!
