A reminder about SNS updates for Americans in Japan

Being married to an American here and with American passport-holding kids, we've seen the U.S. government shutdown issues they're experiencing. Many U.S. government employees have been furloughed until they work out their budget, and this extends to those who have been updating SNS sites like the U.S. Embassy Tokyo page.

While the note above mentions that things like scheduled passport appointments and visa services will still be operating, SNS updates will only include things like urgent updates. 

Hopefully, things get back on track there soon...
