The description

This product is the new "strawberry fromage cookies" ice cream from Haagen-Dazs. I found it at my local Lawson recently, and it was priced at 405 yen including tax.

The good

I'm a sucker for sweet treats, and especially ice creams/icy treats as the weather gets warmer. This new offering from Haagen-Dazs was in the freezer section of my local Lawson recently, and I think it's a tasty option for anyone who likes textural ice creams. The ice cream base is a cheesecake-y flavored one, and it comes topped with a strawberry sauce and strawberry flavored cookies. I think it's a really fun ice cream from a visual standpoint, and the taste and texture are really good as well. Fruity ice creams always feel a bit lighter to me (as light as an ice cream can feel, anyway), so this feels appropriate for the warmer months.

The not so good

Haagen-Dazs has always been expensive, IMO, since they are marketed as a premium ice cream product. Typically, though, they've been around the 350 yen mark or thereabouts. This one has officially cracked the 400 yen mark, though, coming in at 405 yen exactly. I know the price of everything is going up, and I get 150 yen for reviewing this here on City-Cost, which is a win...but still, super pricey for an ice cream, and I have to deduct points based on that. As much as I liked this, it's not something I would go out of my way to purchase again, and that's solely based on the price of it. Worth trying once if you're a strawberry fan, but the price isn't great.
