7-11 has a few Chiikawa themed collaboration items on their shelves at the moment, and this sesame anman is one of them. The outside has your typical fluffy steamed bread texture, and the inside filling is a sesame and red bean jam which has just the right amount of sweetness without feeling cloyingly so. I also love that they've stamped/embossed Chiikawa's face on the top of the bun, since it adds an extra dose of cuteness to the product. Price-wise it's pretty reasonable, too, at only 150 yen including tax. Worth trying, in my opinion!

The filling of this steamed bun appealed to me because I have really grown to love more earthy flavored desserts over the years, but if you don't really care for the taste of sesame and red bean then obviously give this one a miss. Overall though, this was really tasty, cute, and reasonably priced as well. It's only going to be on store shelves for a limited time, so if it looks and sounds good to you I'd suggest heading into your nearest 7-11 store to grab one while you can. Happy eating, and enjoy!
