This is quite a simple chocolate croissant product, but instead of the chocolate filling being on the inside (which is what I'd normally expect!), it's coated in chocolate instead. Even though it's coated in chocolate, I wouldn't say the taste was cloyingly sweet -- it was just right. The price is pretty reasonable at 138 yen including tax, and I'd say that's honestly cheaper than what I could find for a similar product at most bakeries local to me. Because of that I think it's a pretty good deal!

I would have preferred the croissant to have been chocolate filled rather than chocolate coated for a couple of reasons, particularly from a mess perspective. I think it's easier to keep your hands clean with a regular chocolate-filled croissant than it is with a chocolate coated one! Other than that, I still enjoyed this product, and the budget-friendly price point provides some more incentive to try it. If you like chocolate coated breads I would recommend checking at your nearest 7-11 to see if it's available.
