Early sunrises

With the summer solstice just days away, I was thinking about just how early the sun rises here in the summertime. This morning the sun was up before 4.30am, which means light is flowing into my home even earlier than that, and I find it hard to sleep in when I can hear birds cheeping and the like! I can't imagine what it would be like to live somewhere super far north. 

I had a look on the Time & Date website, where you can check to see the sunrise/sunset times in any city of your choosing. My home city in Australia is in winter, now, but on December 21st (their summer solstice), sunrise only takes place at just before 6am -- but they use daylight savings there!

How do you fare with the early sunrises here? Do you wish Japan would incorporate a daylight savings system, or are you happy as it is?
