7-11 and the case of the stealthy mentaiko

I was out running errands today and before I knew it, lunch time had passed and I was feeling hungry. I stopped into the nearest 7-11 and was excited when I saw a new seasonal steamed bun in the warmer. From all outward appearances I thought it was perhaps a new kind of pizzaman - my favorite!

I quickly messaged my husband to double check with him what it was - and I’m very thankful that I did, because it was a mentaiko and cheese flavored bun!

Mentaiko has almost tricked me into thinking it was standard tomato sauce on a pizza before - so if you’re like me and you’re not a fan of it, then take this as your public service announcement!
