I'm always a fan of shoes for my kids that feel comfortable straight out of the box, and that has been the case for my son with these recent Adidas Duramo sneakers. The price felt quite reasonable at 3762 yen, especially for branded sneakers. I like that the predominant color is black, since they hold up to wear and tear a lot better -- I've purchased lighter colored sneakers for my kids before and they have started to look a bit tattered sooner. Also, it's nice that these still have a velcro closure, which means they're easy to put on and get out the door on busy mornings!

One thing I noticed about this line of shoes is that the bottom isn't as "grippy" as other Adidas sneakers I've purchased for my kids before -- the sole is a lot flatter, so if you're seeking a sneaker with a more tread on it then these might not be the best option. Overall though, I'm pleased with these, as is my son. If you're looking for a sneaker for your kids that feels comfy directly from the box, consider giving these a try. Amazon Japan has some well-priced Adidas sneakers on a regular basis, so they are our go-to for kids shoes.
