It's almost Majidon time!

The Minamiuonuma Majidon is an event that I genuinely look forward to every year. Living in the area, it's nice to have something that feels very much like a community event rather than a big tourist attraction.

To me it's a really clever event to celebrate the rice harvesting season. Basically, a bunch of local restaurants create their own takes on donburi, with different ingredients piled on top of local rice. It's also a great opportunity to enjoy some local sake while you're at it!
