My household are big fans of both the Yukimi Daifuku product from Lotte, and mangoes, so when I saw this new flavor at my local 7-11 recently I thought it would be a must try! The actual mochi outer itself is a fun orange color, and the product itself contains 5% Alphonso mango juice and 5% diced Kent mango pulp, so the flavor and texture is good. The combo of the mango along with the vanilla ice cream is a really winning combination, in my opinion -- they just pair together really well. I like that you get two of these in a pack, since it's easy to share them.

A few downsides -- obviously one of the key ones is that it's a limited time only product, so if you find yourself really liking it you've only got a short window to get your hands on it. Always a bit of a bummer when that happens, but they are great about releasing fun seasonal flavors of this product throughout the year, so there will undoubtedly be something else to enjoy just around the corner. Just on that seasonal note, I did think this was a bit of an unusual release with winter knocking on the door. I always associate mangoes with the humid, tropical months, so this was a bit out of left field. Maybe that's by design! Overall though, tasty, and loved the mango flavor!
