My neighbor's World Cup nostalgia

I was talking to one of my neighbors this week about the World Cup, and he got to talking about how he actually attended the event back in 2002! That year, the event was hosted jointly by Japan and South Korea, and there were matches held right here in Niigata at Niigata Stadium. He even still had his ticket stub to show me!

I thought it was pretty cool that events were held at quite a few places across the country, including smaller cities.
