Could brushing your teeth 3x a day help with more than just dental hygiene?
I think most of us know that brushing our teeth regularly is important, but I'd never really thought of it as something that might have a connection to our overall health beyond keeping our teeth and gums in good condition. New research conducted right here in Japan has given us another potential reason, though!
Sunstar analyzed four years of dental and general health check-up data from 370 of its employees, finding that those who brushed their teeth three or more times a day experienced less weight fluctuation and fewer signs of worsening metabolic health than those who brushed twice a day or less.

I thought this was pretty interesting! I know that once I brush my teeth, that works as a bit of a "sign" to stop myself from snacking, so maybe that has something to do with it!
