The description
This product is a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel sandwich, and it's available on the Starbucks food menu for a limited time. It was priced at 440 yen including tax.
The good
This bacon, egg, and cheese bagel sandwich was my husband's brunch pick, and he was a fan! I feel like it appealed to his American sensibilities (even though he did spend a lot of time growing up here in Japan) since it contains grilled bacon, scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, and ketchup. The bagel itself is covered in oat pieces which I think probably added some extra flavor. In terms of price, I'd say it was pretty decent for Starbucks standards, and my husband was sufficiently full after it, although that was paired with some of the Truffle Soupuccino, a new savory soup option available at their stores!
The not so good
The only real downside I can think of with this is for people who don't like the oat-covered bagels and would prefer the plain kind without seeds on it. Other than that, my husband thought it was great, filling, and had a good combination of flavors and textures in it, from the chewy bacon to the fluffy eggs, the flavorful cheddar and the tangy ketchup. I think he'd get it again if the option arose and we were near a Starbucks store while it was still on their menu. A good breakfasty-brunchy option for those who want something savory!
