Petrol fill up - with a nice bonus

I’ve often thought to myself about how “next level” a lot of Japan’s customer service staff are. There’s always instances where I feel like staff go the extra mile to make you feel special, valued, or welcome. Or they just do something super nice that brightens your day.

We had some freaky April snow here last week, and it was coming down pretty heavy - naturally, that would be the day that I had things to do and places to be...and therefore, petrol to fill up with.

It was cold and miserable out (so much for spring!) and when the petrol station attendant passed me a cloth to wipe the inside of the car with - which is already such a lovely convenience that they offer - it was WARM! Like a giant warm oshibori for the purpose of wiping dust off the dashboard with.

It’s those little things that really make me love Japan - the most minor details are often considered so greatly!
