The good
If you like onigiri but you prefer the fillings to be meaty rather than fishy, I would highly recommend this new meatball option from 7-11. It's part of a collaboration range of products featuring Chiikawa on them, and if you're someone who appreciates cute packaging then you'll probably get a kick out of this as well. The inner filling for this onigiri is a pork-based meatball seasoned with onion, ketchup, and worcestershire sauce, and it's really flavorful and moist. This is an item I'd purchase again, and I do wish it was a regular thing rather than just a limited-time option!
The not so good
The biggest downside to this product for me is the fact that it's a limited time only offering! I really enjoyed it (I always think it's a good sign when you'd 100% purchase it again!) so I will be a bit disappointed when it disappears from shelves. Overall, this was a really yummy onigiri, especially as I mentioned if you prefer meat rather than seafood-based fillings. The price feels reasonable and it was very satiating. If this does sound like a must-try item to you, I would highly recommend heading in to your nearest 7-11 store sooner rather than later. Hope you also love it if you end up giving it a go!
