Inclusivity in emergency

Depending on where you live and what time you were awake until last night, you have probably already heard about the earthquake in Aomori and the subsequent tsunami warnings. Maybe you only woke up to the news this morning.

One thing I am always happy to see (as happy as one can be, anyway, in the event of an emergency) is that there is a great level of inclusivity in the broadcasts about what has happened. For instance, there is a sign language interpreter on the screen, and there is also a notification that you can get other languages via radio.

I'm grateful to Japan for making it easy to find emergency information.
