We're a big Lego-loving household, and my son in particular loves the Super Mario range of Legos which have a number of different expansion sets. Recently (early August) there was a new release of Donkey Kong themed sets, including this Rambi the Rhino set. It is a smaller sized set which makes it easier for younger children to complete on their own, and it's just over 1100 yen so not exorbitant in price, either. It's recommended for children 7 years and up, but my six year old son completed this with no problem at all so I wouldn't be overly concerned about the age range.

As mentioned, this is a smaller-sized set, which has both positives and negatives. It's inexpensive compared to other sets, but it's also quite quick to assemble -- so it doesn't have the same level of time-involvement. I think some of the larger sets, while more expensive, offer better value for money since they keep my son occupied for a longer period of time. That aside, it's still got your quality Lego craftsmanship, and my son is very pleased with it. I'd give it four out of five stars overall.
