One thing I really appreciate about sweets from Chateraise is that the vast majority of them are incredibly well priced -- in many cases they're cheaper than getting a dessert from a convenience store. This biscuit waffle is no exception to that general rule, setting me back only 108 yen including tax. It's a fairly simple treat, made up of biscuit dough cooked in a waffle shape and then half-topped with a chocolate coating. The sweetness was just right -- not cloyingly so -- and it isn't a crazy huge portion either, so it works well as a treat with a morning or afternoon coffee or tea.

Honestly, there's not a great deal to complain about with this product. It's tasty while still being simple (and as a result likely to have a broad appeal), and the price is hard to beat at only 108 yen. The only downside is that Chateraise stores aren't as common as convenience stores, so depending on where you live it might be a bit more out of the way to access one of their branches. In any case, I'd highly recommend stopping into one of their stores if you have one nearby, and scoping out their great range of reasonably priced sweets. I'm convinced there's something to appeal to just about anyone's tastebuds. Happy eating!
