As an Australian I feel like I'm drawn to any product here that provides a taste of home, and seeing that these cup noodles from Aeon's Top Valu brand had Tasmanian beef in them had me intrigued. The price is pretty budget friendly at 159 yen including tax, and what surprised me the most was that they were super generous with the amount of toppings you get. There's a ton of beef pieces alongside chunks of egg and green onions, and the noodles are pretty similar to what you'd expect from your average cup noodle experience. The broth is salt-based with a beefy umami flavor, but there's also shellfish on the ingredients list which adds some extra depth to the product.

Quite a few allergens on the list with this, including egg and shellfish. Keep that in mind -- even though they're marketed as beef noodles it's always pertinent to check the ingredients list! Overall though, these are a great, budget friendly, and quick to prepare (just three minutes sitting in boiling water) snack or meal option, and as I mentioned above the amount of toppings you get with this product is super generous and exceeded my expectations, especially for a store brand option. Well worth trying if you have an Aeon supermarket near you!
