Recent choc-mint eats

I recently spoke about my choc mint obsession in a post about the choc mint pocky that hit the shelves here. But confession time: I’ve literally been chomping every choc mint thing I’ve found on the shelves lately (within reason).

Here’s some more choc mint eats that I’ve tried (and what I’ve thought of them).

Choco Mint Gari Gari Kun Ice Bar

These things are good. Light, refreshing, not calorie dense and won’t leave you feeling heavy. Recommend them for the warmer days in particular if you’re craving a choc minty treat.

Lawson’s Choc Mint Donut

Tried this in May and haven’t seen it since, but if you see it at your local Lawson definitely give it a try. The perfect choc mint flavor in a cake style donut, but it was still moist and not all crumbly. Recommended!

Morinaga Choc Mint Ice Cream Bar

This was designed to actually look something like a chocolate bar, but inside it was choc mint ice cream. Wasn’t a huge fan of this because the coating was dark chocolate, and I’m usually more a milk chocolate fan. Not terrible by any stretch of the imagination, but wouldn’t buy it again.

Look2 Choc Mint

This one was interesting as there were two different types of choc mint chocolate inside - perfect for the real aficionados. One side was “regular” choc mint (whatever that means), and the other side was super choc mint, which was definitely mintier.

I liked the regular much more than the super choc mint!

Spotted a mint-cream mille-feuille (I think that's the term) creation in Ginza Cozy Corner yesterday. I'm all for the mint-choco combo in light snacks, but in cake form ... I'm not sure. Here's the Cozy Corner URL for it ... https://www.cozycorner.co.jp/product/cutcake/84943.html How does it look?

@Tomuu oh wow, even Ginza Cozy Corner are in on the choc mint craze! I’m on the fence about it! I like dense cakes, mille feuille are kind of too light-and-fluffy for my personal cake preferences! Still, I’d probably get it if I was there...I’m a choc-mint addict, what can I say!
