Missing summer in winter, missing winter in summer
One of things I find amusing about living in Japan is that I spend half the year missing the season I'm not in. When summer arrives, I find myself fully convinced that winter was better, but now that the snow has rolled around out here, I find myself oddly nostalgic for summer.

Pretty as a picture, but I still get nostalgic for summer when it's snowy everywhere outside.
I'm sure lots of you can probably relate. In late summer the heat and humidity feel relentless, and I end up dreaming about crisp air, scarves, and the relief of not feeling like I need a second shower 5 minutes after leaving my house. Snow sounds super appealing when you're doing just about anything out of air conditioned comfort in August.
Then winter actually comes, and everything flips. The air is dry, I'm constantly getting zapped every time I touch my car, and I miss being able to go on walks on summer evenings. Even things I had complained about start to feel charming in hindsight.
Are you like me and find yourself flip-flopping between missing summer in winter, but missing winter in summer?
