Easy eel fix!

If you're after an easy way to get your fix of all things unagi, Gusto family restaurants have it on their menu at the moment. Their Unaju (うな重) box is 1539 yen including tax, and you get miso soup and pickles included. If you're super hungry and super keen on unagi, they have a double serving version which is 1999 yen including tax. 

My husband is a big unagi fan and is always enthusiastic when it's accessible at fast food and family restaurant chains at this time of year. July 26th is the Day of the Ox for 2026, which is the day that unagi is traditionally eaten on, so keep it in mind!
