The good
If you've ever wished for Starbucks fraps to come in a short size, they've finally delivered with this new Hinamatsuri Frappuccino in honor of Girls' Day coming up on March 3rd. The frap consists of white peach jelly, milk pudding, and cherry blossom sauce, and comes topped with tri-colored rice crackers for a bit of visual appeal and added crunch. At 650 yen, it's a bit more accessible price-wise than many of the other frappuccino offerings they release, which is encouraging. The white peach, milk pudding, and sakura flavors are all quite cohesive, and I think visually it just looks like a spring-feeling drink. I liked it!
The not so good
This is only a limited time drink, so if you find yourself really enjoying it, the window to get your hands on it is pretty narrow. Always a bummer, but Starbucks are great at regularly releasing fun new offerings, so I am sure something else delicious will be right around the corner. One note about the rice cracker toppings -- as you can imagine they do get soggy-ish pretty quickly. I would suggest eating them first! Overall though, loved that this came in a short size (hope they extend that to other frappuccinos as well!) and it's both tasty and packed with visual appeal. Head in to your nearest Starbucks store soon if you want to give it a try for yourself. Happy drinking! :)
