A crazy stat about Australians visiting Japan

One thing that has been great about living here has been how many family members and friends have been able to come and visit. There are several airlines that operate between Australia and Japan, including budget carriers like Jetstar, so it makes it a relatively wallet-friendly trip, especially with how the yen has been of late.

One stat that I saw in a recent article though made me pretty surprised - it was a travel article from the Sydney Morning Herald (a newspaper back home) which ranked Tokyo as the top city to visit in Asia. No real big "breaking news" moment there, but what shocked me is that it mentioned over a million Australians visited Japan last year! With a population of about 27 million(ish), I think it's kinda crazy to see such big numbers of people traveling here!
