Haagen Dazs does an excellent job of releasing seasonal flavors throughout the year, and this matcha berry crispy sandwich option is great for anyone who likes the earthy-yet-sweet flavor combination. It consists of matcha ice cream with a raspberry sauce inside, and then the whole thing is wrapped in a matcha chocolate coating and sandwiched between matcha flavored wafers. I think it's fun to look at from a visual point of view, too, because of that vivid green-- and taste-wise I enjoyed it, too. The portion size is decent, I cut it in half to share with my husband, so you could always share it with someone if you don't want/need to eat the entire thing.

The downside that always seems to come alongside Haagen Dazs products is the price. Yes, this was super tasty, and I enjoyed it -- but if you are just looking for a way to get your ice cream fix, there are absolutely more economical ways to do it than this option which is just over 350 yen. If you're a matcha fan I'd say it's still great to try once, but it's not something I'd personally purchase again and that's just based on the price, not the flavor. Give it a try if you're a matcha fan, but if you're just looking for an icy treat there are options out there that are easier on the wallet. Happy eating!
