The description

This product is the new Kinoko no Yama x Club Harie Hazel Praline & Matcha collaboration, and I found it at my local 7-11 store for 328 yen including tax.

The good

Kinoko no Yama were one of the first chocolatey treats I tried when I first moved here, and they still bring about those nostalgic feelings whenever I purchase them. My kids love them now, too, but this new version is one that I feel is a bit more geared towards adult palates! It's a collaboration product with Club Harie, and goes with a Hazel Praline & Matcha flavor. The chocolate part has a two-layer design, combining Kinoko no Yama's regular chocolate with a blend of hazelnut praline and matcha chocolate, with the "stem" part being cocoa flavored as well. It also contains crushed candy pieces, which give a bit more of a crunchy texture than the regular kind.

The not so good

One key downside is that this is just a limited time collaboration, so if you find yourself really enjoying it, the window to get your hands on it is pretty narrow. If it sounds like a must-try item to you, I would suggest scouring your local convenience stores/supermarkets for it, and perhaps stocking up on a couple of extra packets to stash away for when the craving strikes. Overall, I loved this collab -- the familiar classic felt a bit more fancy and adult with the matcha and hazelnut praline flavours, and I think it's well worth trying if you're already a fan of those tastes. Hope you also enjoy it if you end up giving it a try! :)
