The description

This product is a shine muscat parfait, and it's a seasonal offering as part of Coco's Restaurant's shine muscat fair. It was priced at 1859 yen including tax.

The good

As a big fan of all things shine muscat related at this time of year, it's hard to pass up the shine muscat fair going on at Coco's Restaurants right now. My husband and I split this mega-sized shine muscat parfait, and it is VERY generous on the grapes. There are 14 grapes in total adorning the top of the parfait (which is apparently the most that Coco's have ever put on one of their grape parfaits), along with muscat grape gelato, vanilla ice cream, custard cream, Chardonnay syrup, sponge cake slices, and biscuit chips. As you can see, there are loads of flavors and textures going on with it, which means there are no boring mouthfuls!

The not so good

There's no doubt about it, this is an expensive dessert. It's well and truly large enough to share with someone, but even then you're still paying about 900 yen each! In saying that, they are very generous with the grapes, and they're not a cheap fruit by any stretch of the imagination. Overall I would say this is a good option if you have someone to share the dessert with and you're a big shine muscat fan. Coco's do have some other shine muscat desserts that are smaller (and therefore less expensive!) which I imagine would also satiate the craving. Happy eating, and enjoy! :)
