Tofu Ajillo

After the slightly disappointing konyaku ajillo I had, I wanted to try again but with something more palatable. Something like tofu, which I found the next trip to the grocery store only two items down from on the konyaku one I had tried. Tofu Ajillo photo

This version is microwavable however, upon looking at it with the sauce after popping it in for a few minutes, I decided to cook it in a frying pan to give the tofu a bit of a toasted color and add some vegetables.

It is pretty plain white and doesn't have the lovely garlic flakes like the konyaku version.

The tofu was far more pleasant to eat. And eat I did, with gusto. I think I prefer the seasoning from the other one better, however this one wasn't terrible. As an easy meal for my lunches I would certainly pay the 200 yen.
