Tokyo City Keiba - New Tourist attraction for foreign tourists

As a foreigner living in Japan for almost two years, I cannot find any new places to explore in Japan any more because most cities are very similar. When I was wondering what to do in order to explore Japan in different way, I got an opportunities to visit Tokyo City Keiba in Tokyo. It was a total different experience I had in comparison with other activities I have done in Japan. 

When I enter Tokyo City Keiba, I was immediately attracted by the beautiful environment of Tokyo City Keiba. It is huge, clean and very modern. There are a few building in the area and different level of seats to watch the horse racing races. There are seats indoor as well as outdoor. Indoor ensures the audience to view from a higher level and having view of entire track. It also helps you to stay dry on a ruining day. On the other hand, the outdoor seats do not require extra fee and it let audience to be closer to the horses to feel more excitement. I was also introduce to a smaller track where everyone is welcome to watch the horse before racing. It is one of my favorite part because I can get very close to the horse. however, coming to horse racing track is not inly for watching horses only buy also to enjoy one of the most interesting part of horse racing, betting. 

On the day of excursion, I watched total 7 races in total, and I bet in all races I watched. The experience was very new to me. The stadium is very friendly to foreign tourists. In order to bet, you have to first fill in a paper of types of betting, betting number, amount of money put in on the bet. The minimum is 100 yen which is very friendly to people even you have never bet on horse racing before. There are paper which are provided in English, and there is a guide intruding about how to bet in English available as well. It ensure your betting to be very smooth and easy to enjoy. On the day, I spent 1500 yen and I won exactly 1500 yen back. Some of my luck fellows won 10 times than what he put in. So, Tokyo City Keiba is a place to check out if you are lucky on the day or not. The experience is amazing and it truly let me to explore part if Japan that I never thought I will.
