The description
For Gojira fans, Koikeya's Suppa Mucho brand of potato chips has a series of monster-themed potato chips. King Ghidorah vs. Suppa Mucho features three kinds of seafood.
The good
For kaiju and potato chip fans, Koikeya fired up its Suppa Mucho brand with the Gojira franchise. The potato chips have two variations. The first one, which I haven't tried yet, is Godzilla VS Karamucho: Sriracha's Counterattack. The second one, which I review here, is King Ghidorah VS Suppamucho: Seafood All-out Attack. The King Ghidorah version in a 52-gram bag is flavoured with oysters, scallops, and shrimp. They're dressed with vinegar and lemon to give them a rich umami, zippy flavour. They're delicious, and the package design has some fun details.
The not so good
These seafood flavoured potato chips from Koikeya are delicous. I have no complaints about the crunchy, umami contents and the package. Did you notice something quirky on the package? The Suppa Mucho mascot, Hi-hi Obachan, appears on the left side, burned out with glowing eyes! The package designers had fun with this series. On the back of the package is a QR code with information about the Gojira Online Store. Watch out for promotion of the upcoming Gojira 0.0 movie. It opens on November 3rd, Culture Day, which is also Gojira Day.
