7-11 convenience store's line of 7-11 Cup Deli items is a life-saver when I finish work later than the local supermarket's closing time. To supplement the fridge contents and save some cooking time, I go for items like this one, bacon pepper macaroni salad. The tencho at the 7-11 says this has been a popular item for a while, and the label indicates that it's a big seller. I was surprised at the price. It looks like a "thank you" to customers at almost double the volume at the same price. It's flavourful and comforting.

Convenience equals a premium price when you go to 7-11. However, this was good value and makes a meal. It's not chintzy on the bacon and dressing. The dressing adds a lot of calories. The regular size is 318 calories. This version adds about 100 more. Squint at the label on the lid and you'll see this is a limited quantity product. The next time I dropped by the 7-11 location, it wasn't available. I get the impression this popular side sold out fast. Note that the container has a film lid rather than a proper one.
