The description
In March 2026, Sapporo Breweries released Sapporo Extra Move in their Black Label line of beers. The beer has 5.5% alcohol content and is brewed with foreign and domestic malt.
The good
Back in 2024, Sapporo introduced a variety of Sapporo Black Label appended with the word "Extra". You may have seen Black Label Extra Move in 2025. In March 2026, Black Label Extra Feel came out. The beer is made with foreign and domestic hops with the addition of rice, corn, and starch. Sapporo's promotional material says the hops are Umasa nagamochi bakuga. However, there is no indication of the hops' parentage. The beer tastes like Sapporo Black Label. It's light, slightly malty, and pours with a foamy head.
The not so good
Sapporo Black Label is a standard, decent draft beer that sells worldwide. Sapporo Black Label Feel is an okay variant and is priced the same as the flagship version. Is it worth trying? Once. It's not remarkable. My impression from the promotions is that Sapporo is simply trying to freshen up the label design. The flavour Extra Feel isn't going to knock your socks off. It's a little on the sweet side, likely due to the addition of corn. It's light, and a decent beer with a meal. But just get the tried and true Black Label. It's fine.
