When you need a chocolate fix, what do you reach for/? One of my faves is Morinaga Confectionery's classic, Dars chocolate. Morinaga also has a premium version at a slightly higher price point. This version is Dars Premium Hojun, or rich cacao. The dark milk chocolate is infused with hazelnut paste. It has a rich flavour of dark chocolate. On top of that, a nutty and unctuous quality thanks to the hazelnut paste. I found this product at a 7-11 convenience store priced at about 200 yen per packet.

For a cheap and pleasing chocolate treat, Morinaga's Dars Premium Hojun, or rich cacao is a good choice. While the price of chocolate has risen, this is still affordable at about 200 yen a packet. I have no quibbles with this choco treat as it delivers with a smooth and luxurious quality. It goes great with either a finger of whisky or a cup of coffee to complement the hazelnut and dark chocolate. The Morinaga product website notes that the packaging is minimal, with no plastic wrap and a cardboard tray with minimal wrap to protect the goodies.
