Experience in Keiba

Experience in Keiba photo

Experience of horse racing in Japan is one of the unforgettable memory in Japan. It was my first horse racing in my life, therefore I was very excited. The instructors taught us the horse gambling system in Japan. Because I wasn't illegal to gamble, I looked at my friend's sheet who was legal to gamble for the horse racing. The instructors taught the students how to mark for the horse, numbers, and how to buy and where to buy the tickets. As a foreign student, it was quite hard to understand because it's my first experience.

After marking their horses, they went to this special machine where they put their numbers and the horses. The atmosphere was very cheering and I was very surprised because it was different from my opinion of horse racing. My opinion of horse racing is very formal where only adults are legal to join. However, in Japan, everyone is able to see the horse race and bet with friends and family. While looking at horse racing, many people ate and drank in a comfortable manner. Because of Tokyo City Keiba has many different food stores, we were able to freely eat whatever we wanted to while looking at the race.

The horse race lasted until 8 PM, which made me bit tiring but fun at the same time. I was more concerned about the horse's conditions that raced all day long. However, these horses are trained in a special manner for them to race and compete. These horses were much stronger than I thought. These horses seemed never tired and always cheerful whenever they ran.

Visiting Tokyo City Keiba was unforgettable and memorable.
