The description

This Uji Matcha Busse blends fluffy cake with a fragrant matcha cream mixed with kanoko beans. It’s a gentle, traditional‑leaning sweet with a soft, airy bite.

The good

I’ve always been a big fan of bouche, though I took a break after overindulging for a while. Coming back to them through Châteraisé’s range felt just right. Their bouche are especially light and airy, and the filling in the center has a mild, gentle flavor that makes them easy to enjoy again. Moreover, at just 130 yen they are affordable price. They definitely look more expensive, especially if you buy a set that comes in a fancy box, so I was pleasantly surprised to learn they only work out at 130 yen each. The Uji Matcha flavor brings a pleasant bitterness that some people might prefer over a sweet filling.

The not so good

I am actually not a fan of Uji Matcha (or Matcha in general) as a flavor of sweets, so of the three different flavors I tried this was my least flavor. However, despite not being a matcha flavor lover, I did quite enjoy this bouche. On the flip side, people who love matcha flavored food products, might find the matcha flavor to be a bit too subtle. It doesn7t really kick a punch. Something to note, rather than a critique per se, is that the cream melts above 25 degrees, so you need to keep them stored in a cool place.
