I am a big fan of Mr Brownie's soft, moist and fudgy brownies. They are imported from overseas, but are obviously popular in Japan because despite being an import you often see them at different supermarkets and stores around Japan. This rare version with smartie like chocolate candy on top is nice for a change. Not only do the chocolate pieces look like smarties, they taste like them too, with a hard outer shell and a smooth chocolate filling. They go very well with the brownies. The size has unfortunately decreased since I last bought them, but it's still a fairly ok size of about two to three bites.

This is not a fault of the product necessarily, I presume it is the store that priced them so high. Gyomu used to sell the plain version of Mr Brownies for just 218 yen for a packet of five. There is eight in this packet, but it is still working out at almost the double the price per brownie when bought at Plaza. However, I have not seen them in Gyomu at all lately, so I made a decision to pay over the price to try this limited-edition flavor with smartie like chocolate pieces on top. It was worth the money as a once off, but I wouldn't be paying that price regularly.
