The Coolest Train Line

I watched a recording of "School Kakumei" with my children earlier. "Kakumei" means revolution. It's a popular and long-running Japanese variety show, set up like a classroom environment with the cast as students. It is on every Sunday on Nippon TV.

In the particular episode we were watching, they were talking about all thing's "summer". They had a quiz section where they invited the regular cast to guess what the coolest train line in Japan is.  The first cast member they asked got it right - as it turns out, just by pure coincidence / luck! The correct answer is the Toei Oedo line

They explained that due to smaller size of the trains, that impede circulation, they run the air conditioning at 22 degrees Celsius on the Oedo line. Most other trains set the thermostat at 25 or 26 degrees. So, if you want to ride the coolest - as in temperature - train this summer, just jump on the Oedo line!
