The description
This product is part of Kagome's "Anna Mamma" brand of sauces - this one is a tomato and garlic pasta sauce with a garlic aroma and a savory tomato base.
The good
I really like the appearance of the Anna Mamma pasta sauce range. They always stand out on a shelf of pasta sauces at the supermarket. I have to say, I really like the taste too, but as you will see in the next section - it is expensive. I particularly like that Anna Mamma's range of pasta sauces come with the lid of the jar sealed with a layer of plastic. The reason this appeals to me so much is that I once bought a pasta sauce without this and when I opened it, I realized that there was all mold on the inside of the top of the jar. The extra seal helps prevent such soiling to happen with the Anna Mamma range.
The not so good
My biggest gripe with this product is the price, particularly the price to size. In my local supermarket it costs 376 yen, before tax, for a 330 gram jar. That's more than 1 yen per gram - before tax. The product is easy to use and does taste very good, so I do buy it occasionally, but I prefer my pasta sauces to be more economical! Also, regarding the size, this 330 gram says it serves 2 to 3 people. I would say two is most accurate. So, for my family of six, one jar is never enough. II tend to buy this product only when I am cooking for four rather than six and even at that, I have to buy two jars.
