The description
This food product is a Korean‑style salad from Beisia is a simple mix of lettuce and wakame with some carrot and onion slivers. You can use straight from the pack.
The good
Beisia’s Korean‑style salad is a handy option for a quick, easy and affordable addition (side) to meals, especially as you can use it straight from the bag without washing. The mix of lettuce and wakame gives a light, refreshing texture that works well and there are some slivers of other vegetables in the mix, such as carrots. At only 99 yen, before tax, it stands out as one of the rare fresh food items still priced under 100 yen, making it a convenient choice for anyone watching their budget.
The not so good
The biggest appeal of this salad is the price, but that also comes with a few trade‑offs. The portion is small, so I really don't think it would be filling on its own. However, as I said above, it is good (and best suited) as a side dish. The lettuce can be a little delicate compared to higher‑priced salad mixes. And, as with a lot of fresh salad ingredients, the shelf life isn't very long. I imagine it would spoil very quickly. I used it the same day as purchasing. The flavor is mild, so some people might need to add dressing to make this salad more tasty and appealing.
