The description

This food product is a special Costco item of a convenient 9-pack (three packs of three) Krispy Kreme donuts, with the brand's signature sweet glaze.

The good

Although I prefer other donuts over Krispy Kreme donuts, when I saw this convenient nine pack of Krispy Kreme original, glazed donuts at a reasonable price, I decided to buy them. I like that they come in three packs of three. So, I could open one pack at lunch time and keep the other two packs fresh until after dinner. Nine is also a good number for sharing, especially in my family of six. The doughnuts were soft and light, with that signature fluffy texture. The glaze adds a rich sweetness without feeling overly heavy. They pair nicely with a cup of coffee or tea. If you are a fan of this brand, get yourself to Costco! I think they are a bit cheaper to buy here too, than in Krispy Kreme stores? I don't have a store near me to check and searching online gives conflicting answers.

The not so good

To be honest, I find Krispy Kreme donuts a bit boring having tried many other donuts in Japan. They aren't nearly as nice as Mister Donuts in my humble opinion. But some people might actually prefer the simplicity of Krispy Kreme. The size is good for a mid morning or mid afternoon snack, but after dinner they felt a bit too filling. One of my kids wasn't able to finish hers - barely ate half of it. While the doughnuts are convenient and nicely packaged in three separate boxes, and possibly cheaper than in a Krispy Kreme store, they can feel expensive compared with other bakery options available at Costco. They have a short shelf life (one day), so if you aren't sharing, 9 may be too many to eat in a 24 hour period!
